A Nortel executive has confirmed that the company will “seriously” consider auctioning off its business segments as the infrastructure manufacturer attempts to emerge from bankruptcy, according to a report from Bloomberg.
According to an earlier report, the Canadian phone-equipment maker may draw bids from Avaya Inc and Siemens Enterprise Communications for its corporate networks unit
In a report posted on its website, Bloomberg said that the unit may be worth about $500 million and that bids for the business are due this week.
