Suprise Increments for some Satyamites

Satyamites who were serving their bond period and completed one year in the organization were in for a pleasant surprise on Thursday evening as they received a mail stating that they were now due for an incremented salary. The freshers were appraised about three months ago and their salaries from January were meant to be computed based on their ratings.

While the incremented salaries are not as much as the norm until last year, employees said they couldn’t have asked for more in these troubled times. “We were not hoping that we would get this at all. Although the mail does not indicate when we would start getting the new salary, we are hopeful it would be some time soon,” said an associate.

In normal circumstances, Satyam would hike a recruit’s salary by Rs 1 lakh for the highest rating. However, now candidates with the best rating got a hike of Rs 35,000.
