IIMA, Deloitte join hands to teach IFRS

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) and Deloitte India have now jointly developed a programme on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), specially crafted for CEOs, CFOs and COOs. Although moves are also afoot to include a programme on IFRS as part of the regular curriculum in Management Development Programme (MDP), where mid-level managers can join the course, the first one-day programme coming up on July 3 at IIMA is exclusively for CEOs, CFOs and COOs.

Disclosing this to Financial Chronicle, Savan Godiawala, Deloitte’s IFRS coordinator, said, “We are expecting 80-100 CEOs, CFOs and COOs to participate in the first day-long programme, which will be interactive in nature. There will be four sessions during the day including a Practical Session, where Deloitte partners from abroad will share implementation experiences and another on what are the changes CEOs, CFOs and COOs need to bring in before the convergence come through.”
