Infosys adds 27 clients in Q1

The country's second largest software exporter Infosys today said it has added 27 new clients during the first quarter ended June 30,taking the total number of clients to 569.

"27 clients were added during the quarter by Infosys and its subsidiaries," Infosys said in a statement. However, on a quarter-on-quarter basis the total number of clients have declined to 569 at the end of Q1, from 579 at the end of January-March quarter of the previous fiscal.

Besides, the number of 'million dollar clients' increased sequentially to 789 at the end of June quarter from 778 in the previous quarter.

"We are working closely with our clients to help them navigate the downturn. We continue to invest in the future to take advantage of the growth opportunities in the medium to long term," Infosys CEO and MD S Gopalakrishnan said.
"Infosys continues to win transformational deals, solution-based engagements, and systems integration projects as clients seek a trusted partner in their journeys. Clients are leveraging Infosys' industry expertise on projects directed at gaining a competitive advantage," the company statement said.
